Certification
Get certified to lead the work.
Earn the credential by completing a project cycle and facilitating real sessions. Certification makes you eligible to apply for paid Community Manager openings as cohorts grow.
No certificate fee. No upsell. Certification is included in membership, including access for eligible Founding Beta Members during the free beta period.
How you earn it
Three requirements, all of them things you do in front of other people. Nothing here is a quiz you can pass by reading a page.
- 1
Finish one full project cycle
Connect, build, grow, repeat — start to finish, with a dated deliverable and a named reference at the end. You can't facilitate a cycle you haven't run yourself.
- 2
Co-host four Action & Momentum Meetups
You take the hour: set the task, keep it moving, and make sure everyone leaves with something finished. A community manager sits in and gives you written feedback after each one.
- 3
Pass a short facilitation review
A 20-minute conversation covering how you'd handle a quiet room, a member who's stuck, and a project that slipped. Practical, not academic.
What the credential comes with
- A dated certificate you can add to LinkedIn under Licenses & Certifications
- A facilitator profile in the member directory
- Written feedback from every co-hosted session, saved as evidence
- Eligibility for the paid Community Manager role as cohorts open
The paid role: Community Manager
One title, not a ladder. As cohorts open, we hire community managers from the list of certified facilitators — the people who've already been running the room.
What you'd own
- Run the Momentum Meetup schedule for your cohort and keep hosts covered
- Onboard new members through their first project cycle
- Keep the partner project pipeline moving and check in on deadlines
- Report what's working and what isn't, with numbers attached
The resume line
Hired to run community programming for a cohort of 40+ early-career members; managed weekly facilitation, onboarding, and partner projects.
- Commitment
- Roughly 5–8 hours a week, evenings and weekends
- Term
- One cohort at a time, renewable
- Pay
- Paid hourly, set per cohort before you accept
- Requirement
- Certified Growth Cycle Facilitator
FAQ
Questions? Start Here.
MembershipDoes the certificate cost extra?
+
No. It's included in membership, including access for eligible Founding Beta Members during the free beta period. We don't charge a separate credential fee, and we're not going to start — a fee would just filter out the people who'd get the most out of it.
MembershipHow long does it take to get certified?
+
Most people get there in about three months: one project cycle, then four co-hosted meetups while the next cycle runs. There's no deadline, so it stretches if your schedule does.
Experience & ProjectsIs a paid role guaranteed once I'm certified?
+
No. Certification makes you eligible; paid roles open as cohorts do. Certified facilitators are the only people we hire from, and we hire from that list first every time.
Experience & ProjectsWhy only one paid title?
+
Because a ladder of titles would turn this into a job board, and that's not what we're building. One credential and one role keeps the path clear. We'll add more when members are asking for them, not before.
The path starts with one project cycle
Everything here builds on work you'd be doing anyway. Run a cycle, host a few rooms, and the credential — and eligibility to apply for future openings — is in reach.
