Meet the People Building GradPlanHQ

GradPlanHQ combines experience in student engagement, project-based learning, community building, operations, and scalable systems.

We share one belief: students should have more ways to create meaningful experience before graduation.

Kim Scott

Founder, GradPlanHQ

Kim Scott has been involved in hundreds of student projects through service-learning courses and student enrichment programs.

That work showed Kim how meaningful projects can help students build leadership, confidence, relationships, and real-world experience.

Kim believes students should not have to wait for someone to offer them experience. Students can create meaningful volunteer projects, solve real problems, and turn that work into proof of what they can do.

That belief became the foundation of GradPlanHQ.

Joel Hankins

Chief Technology Officer, GradPlanHQ

Watching family members prepare for college led Joel to pay closer attention to how AI and changing employer expectations are affecting students and entry-level hiring.

Joel brings experience managing a large property-management operation serving hundreds of renters each month.

At GradPlanHQ, Joel is applying that operational experience to a virtual student community. His focus is aligning people, processes, and technology to create an inviting space where students can connect, launch projects, build their professional presence, and grow together.

Why We Are Building This Together

Kim brings experience helping students learn through meaningful projects. Joel brings experience building and managing systems that serve large communities.

Together, they are building a practical system that helps students:
