Terms of Service

The ground rules for membership.

Last updated September 2026

By joining GradPlanHQ you agree to these terms. They exist to keep the community useful, safe, and fair for every student in it.

Beta membership

The Founding 100 Beta Cohort is offered at no cost. No payment method is required, no recurring charge is created, and you can stop participating at any time. You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials private.

If paid membership is introduced after beta, its pricing and terms will be shared before you decide whether to continue. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy for details.

Members under 18

Students under 18 can only join through a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian must read and agree to these terms, set up the account, and is responsible for the account.

Members under 18 don't receive access to the community app. Their participation is limited to one regularly scheduled monthly video meetup on a set day and time.

Acceptable use

Participate honestly and respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, spam, recruiting schemes, misrepresentation of your experience, and sharing paid materials outside the community are not allowed. Our Community Guidelines are part of these terms, and every member agrees to them directly when applying to join.

Meetups and recordings

Meetups happen over video and some sessions may be recorded for members who could not attend. We tell you when a session is being recorded, and you can keep your camera off. Do not record, screenshot, or repost another member's work or words without their permission.

Your content

You own the projects, posts, and materials you create. You grant GradPlanHQ permission to display them inside the community, and to feature them publicly only with your consent.

Our content

Guides, launcher frameworks, and meetup materials are licensed to you for personal educational use while you are a member. Please don't resell or redistribute them.

Outside credentials and programs

GradPlanHQ helps you find and complete outside learning programs, including leadership credentials offered by other organizations. Those organizations set their own requirements, fees, and decisions. GradPlanHQ facilitates access and support. We do not issue, award, or guarantee any outside certificate or credential.

Projects, volunteering, and community partners

Projects and volunteer work are voluntary, and you choose what you take on. When you work with a community partner, school, nonprofit, or any other outside organization, that relationship is between you and them. GradPlanHQ isn't your employer, isn't a staffing or placement agency, and doesn't supervise, control, or vet the day-to-day work of outside organizations.

You're responsible for following the rules of any site you work with, for any background check or agreement that organization requires, and for your own safety. If you're under 18, your parent or guardian makes those decisions with you.

No outcome guarantee

GradPlanHQ provides structure, materials, meetups, and community. We can't guarantee internships, job offers, references, admissions decisions, scholarships, grades, or credentials, and nothing on this site should be read as career, legal, financial, or academic advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, GradPlanHQ and its team aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost opportunities, lost earnings, or the acts of other members or outside organizations. Our total liability for any claim relating to your membership is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Your responsibility to us

You agree to cover GradPlanHQ for claims and costs that come out of your own conduct: content you post, work you deliver to an outside organization, or a violation of these terms or the Community Guidelines.

Institutional and partner agreements

If your school, department, or employer has a signed agreement with GradPlanHQ, that agreement governs anything it covers, including insurance, data handling, and reporting. These terms still apply to your individual use of the community.

Suspension and changes

We may suspend or end a membership that violates these terms. We may update these terms and will note the date of the most recent change above.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the state where GradPlanHQ is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing anything, email us so we can try to resolve it directly. Most issues get settled in a conversation.
